Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults who need structured substance use treatment, including co-occurring care; looking for a private, upscale environment; want a trauma-informed recovery track; interested in step-down care in one location; have private insurance, TRICARE, or can self-pay.
Not a fit if: Those who have acute medical or psychiatric issues that require hospital care; not willing to participate in group and individual therapy; want a self-directed recovery approach; have Medicaid, or are uninsured and unable to self-pay.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Determining the right fit: During a pre-assessment call, staff talk to clients to develop a course of treatment tailored to their needs. These plans are reviewed by a board-certified psychiatrist.
- Collaborative plan creation: A clinical team, including psychiatrists and licensed therapists, work together to shape treatment plans.
- Therapist matching: Clients are paired with a primary therapist depending on their needs, such as trauma, grief, or diagnosed mental health conditions.
- Continuous reassessment: Recovery paths are re-examined on an ongoing basis to make sure they are working. These can be adjusted as clients move through treatment.
Who you will meet with
- Therapists: All therapists at Beachside Rehab are licensed and accredited. Specialists, such as trauma therapists, can be paired with clients depending on individual recovery plans.
- Psychiatrists: Board-certified psychiatrists are involved throughout treatment, and guide clients through mental health challenges.
- Clinical staff: In the withdrawal management (detox) phase, nurses and other medical professionals tend to clients’ needs 24/7. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
- Case managers: These professionals are there to assist with movement between care levels, discharge planning, and practical life requirements.
Typical schedule
- Daily group therapy: Group sessions are held five days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. These cover a variety of subjects from mental health to relapse prevention. In the trauma recovery track, one session a week is specifically dedicated to this topic.
- One-on-one therapy: Primary therapists meet with clients for two individual sessions each week. As part of the trauma track, one additional individual session is held each week with a trauma therapist.
- Clinical methods: Evidence-based therapies used include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing (MI), and the Matrix Model.
Living experiences and amenities
- Meditative spaces: The campus is sprawled over five acres, and has a butterfly garden, meditation labyrinth, and both indoor and outdoor yoga spaces.
- Wellness and recreation amenities: Clients can get massage and acupuncture treatments, as well as sound therapy. For fun, groups can play pickleball and basketball, and there are hiking trails and a swimming pool clients can enjoy.
- Meals and snacks: Meals are served by a private chef, and snacks are available 24/7.
- Family visitation: Primary therapists can coordinate loved ones’ visits throughout the stay.
Aftercare
- Step down care: A full continuum of treatment levels is available on one campus. Clients can move between medical withdrawal management, residential care, and outpatient programs as they build momentum and gain recovery skills.
- Discharge planning: Before they leave, clients can be linked with local 12-step meetings for continued peer support. They also receive relapse prevention education.
- Practical assistance: Case managers can help clients navigate employment or social services challenges, as well as find housing support.
