Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults looking for residential treatment in a small-group, luxury environment; executives and professionals who need to continue work during care; need on-site detox; want to keep personal electronic devices on hand; have private insurance or are able to self-pay.
Not a fit if: Those who need acute, hospital-level care; looking for outpatient or self-directed treatment; unwilling to participate in frequent individual and group therapies; have Medicaid, Medicare, or are uninsured and unable to self-pay.
What to expect
Typical schedule
- Detox: For those who need it, treatment can begin in the withdrawal management (detox) phase. This includes around-the-clock medical attention to ensure safety during stabilization. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed to ease symptoms and cravings.
- Daily programming: Residential treatment follows a daily structure which involves process groups, substance use and mental health education sessions, individual therapy, and time for reflection. Staff also take clients on outings several times per week.
- Evidence-based therapies: Therapists use approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivation interviewing (MI), and trauma counseling.
- Flexible work time: Clients who need time to attend to professional responsibilities during treatment are given time and space to do so. Work can be scheduled between therapy sessions during flexible blocks, and clients can use their personal devices.
Developing your care plan
- Personalized treatment: Recovery pathways are adapted to each client’s unique needs and goals.
- Ongoing reassessment: Clinicians can continually adjust treatment plans as needed based on progress and any challenges clients face as they move through the program.
Who you will meet with
- Therapists: Lead clients in two one-on-one therapy sessions each week and facilitate daily group sessions.
- Medical team: Doctors and nurses attend to clients’ health needs throughout the course of treatment, including 24/7 monitoring during withdrawal management.
- Psychiatrists: Work with clients who have co-occurring mental health conditions or concerns.
- Holistic practitioners: Include fitness trainers and massage therapists.
Living experiences and amenities
- Private rooms and upscale accommodations: Only five clients are admitted at one time, and each person stays in their own private bedroom with a queen-size bed. Each bedroom has a television and a personal workstation.
- Meals: Every morning, clients are served a continental breakfast. Lunches and dinners are prepared by a chef Monday-Friday and incorporate produce grown in an on-site organic garden. On weekends, clients eat prepared meals and sometimes order local takeout.
- Fitness and wellness: The facility has an on-site gym with personal training available. Clients can also enjoy weekly massage therapy sessions.
- Flexible technology policy: Personal smartphones and laptops can be used 6 a.m.-10 p.m. outside of therapy sessions. The center is equipped with high-speed WiFi.
- Family communication: While in-person visits are not permitted, clients are encouraged to stay in touch with loved ones through video chat.
Aftercare
- Step-down transitions: When clients graduate from residential treatment, care staff can help them step down to a partial hospitalization program (PHP) at the associated Casa Recovery facility. This allows clients to stay with the same care team.
- Individualized discharge planning: Planning for life after treatment begins early. Clients leave with a personalized aftercare plan which can include referrals to outside providers, recovery coaching, and alumni support services.
