Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who need detox in a private, medically monitored environment; want detox and residential treatment in one place; have co-occurring mental health conditions; looking for a blend of evidence-based care and holistic therapies; have private insurance, TRICARE, or are able to self-pay.

  • Not a fit if: Those who need acute, hospital-level care; looking for an outpatient-only program; not willing to participate in groups and clinical programming; want a self-directed recovery approach; have Medicaid or are uninsured and unable to self-pay.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Assessments and client involvement: When clients arrive, care staff perform physical, psychological, and social evaluations. Results are used to form the treatment plan with full client input and participation.
  • Real-time adjustments: Clinicians monitor clients throughout their stay and can make changes to treatment plans as needed, including adjustments to medications and therapy schedules.

Who you will meet with

  • Admissions coordinator: Serves as clients’ primary point of contact throughout treatment.
  • Detox counselor: Offers guidance and support during the withdrawal management (detox) phase.
  • Medical team: Nurses and other medical professionals perform evaluations, support withdrawal management, manage medications, and tend to overall health needs.
  • Therapists: Clients usually have one individual therapy session per week, though this can be increased based on individual needs. Therapists and counselors also lead interactive group sessions.
  • Psychiatric nurse practitioner: Provides psychiatric evaluations and treatment for clients with co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Case manager: Handles practical needs such as aftercare planning and follow-up treatment coordination.

Typical schedule

  • Detox: The withdrawal management phase usually lasts about a week, but this can vary based on individual circumstances. This phase is dedicated to rest, hydration, nutrition, and medical stabilization. Clients can join therapy groups if they feel up to it.
  • Residential days: Schedules can vary day to day and consist of meals, medical check-ins, group therapy, education sessions, mindfulness, restorative recreation, community time, and evening 12-Step recovery meetings.
  • Therapeutic approaches: The center’s approach is focused around ACT, but also includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma counseling. Family therapy and support groups are also offered.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Hotel-like accommodations: The center is built for up to 70 clients but often serves a smaller census. Private rooms are offered for withdrawal management. In residential care, clients share bedrooms and bathrooms with one roommate.
  • Recreation: Activities include basketball, ping-pong, cornhole, and access to an on-site gym.
  • Group outings: Staff may take clients on group excursions such as beach trips, bowling, pizza nights, and trips to the movies.

Aftercare

  • Early discharge planning: Planning for discharge can begin immediately from intake. Case managers enter client preferences into their notes to begin making arrangements for continuing care as early as possible.
  • Step-down arrangements: The center partners with providers of partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and can set clients up with outpatient options that work with their needs.

Quality and Trust

A

Trust Score

A simple A–E grade that offers a quick view of how much confidence you might place in a facility. It’s not a guarantee of quality or outcomes, but a data-informed tool to help guide your search. More on our methodology.

The Joint Commission

The Joint Commission is one of the most trusted names in healthcare. If a rehab center has this accreditation, it means they meet strong national standards for safety, treatment quality, and staff training.

Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities

CARF reviews rehab programs to make sure they provide respectful, effective, and personalized care. For addiction treatment, CARF uses standards developed with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), so this accreditation shows the program follows trusted, evidence-based guidelines for treating substance use.

How we research treatment facilities

Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.

Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:

- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.

- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.

- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.

- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.

Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.

How we evaluate treatment facilities

These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
