Luxury residential substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment with a one-to-one client-to-staff ratio and pet-friendly accommodations. Only six clients are admitted at a time, allowing for maximum personal attention from staff. Clients can begin their stay with medical withdrawal management (detox) if needed, supervised by a 24/7 medical team. Residential care involves 43 hours of weekly group therapy and focused individual sessions. Along with trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy, clients enjoy group outings such as beach trips, hikes, restaurant visits, and kayaking. Developing your care plan
- Client collaboration: A team composed of professionals from many different fields works closely with clients to create their treatment plans.
- Getting started: Clients begin by sharing their personal background, along with their challenges and goals, with trained staff.

Who you will meet with
- Medical team: During withdrawal management, nurses and other clinicians monitor clients 24/7 to make sure they are safe and as comfortable as possible. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed when needed.
- Psychiatrists: Clients who have co-occurring mental health issues receive treatment from trained psychiatrists.
- Therapists and case managers: The treatment team includes therapists, licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs), case managers, and support staff.
- Behavioral health staff: Behavioral health technicians are available at all times to help clients with their needs and requests.
Typical schedule
- Frequent groups: Residential care follows a busy, highly structured weekly schedule with 43 hours of group therapy per week, plus one to two individual therapy sessions and one to two case management sessions.
- Structured days: A typical day begins with Daily Reflections from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by morning groups, lunch, afternoon therapy groups, recovery homework, dinner, leisure time, a Steps to Sobriety session, an evening reflection group, and lights out at 11:00 p.m.
- Recovery topics: A sampling of groups includes creative reflection, inner healing, self-reflection, recovery skills, acceptance, emotional wellness, relapse prevention, living in recovery, and other practical recovery themes. Weekend programming includes team building, and specialized groups like Keys to Recovery, Waves of Wellness, Pillars of Recovery, and Serenity Steps.
- Family visits: After the first week of treatment is complete, family members can come visit if the client wants them to. Visits have to be arranged in advance with case management.
Living experiences and amenities
- Comfortable home environment: Clients stay in a warm, welcoming residential environment with shared rooms and cozy lounges.
- Fun activities: Outdoor recovery activities include beach walks, hikes, and other off-site group wellness activities.
- Meals: Chefs prepare meals for clients. This allows for greater focus on recovery, without having to worry about cooking.
- Pet-friendly house: Depending on the pet, animal companions may join clients in residential treatment. This can do wonders for comfort and emotional support.
Aftercare
Step-down planning: After the typical 30-day residential stay, clients receive a comprehensive aftercare plan that can include outpatient treatment and supportive sober living.
Alumni support: Ongoing support includes alumni events that help clients maintain community after discharge.
