Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults looking for 24/7 residential substance use treatment; need medical withdrawal management; have co-occurring mental health needs; want a busy schedule with both clinical therapy and frequent fitness and holistic activities; have private insurance, TRICARE, IHS, Medicaid, other state-funded insurance, or can self-pay.
Not a fit if: Need acute, hospital-level care; looking for an outpatient program or a self-directed approach; want a more relaxed, less busy daily schedule; not willing to participate in clinical therapy; are uninsured and unable to self-pay.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Initial assessment: When treatment starts, staff perform a thorough clinical assessment to fit clients to the right level of care. This includes substance use and medical history, as well as any co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Weekly check-ins: Clients meet with a primary therapist weekly to check on their progress, address how treatment is fitting with their goals, and go over any concerns. They also go over a long-term plan for when clients leave residential care.
- Adapted residential stay: The length of stay depends on the individual client. It usually lasts 4-6 weeks, but can extend to 60-90 days if needed.
Who you will meet with
- Nurses and medical providers: A nursing team and medical techs tend to clients during withdrawal management, and are available during the residential stay to address medical needs.
- Licensed therapists: Each client is assigned an individual therapist. Therapists also lead group sessions.
- Psychiatrists: Clients with co-occurring mental health conditions meet with a psychiatrist for care and medication management when appropriate.
Typical schedule
- Medical detox: Clients can start treatment with medical withdrawal management when needed. They will be attended to by a nursing team and medical technicians to make sure they are safe and their symptoms are managed as comfortably as possible. Clinicians can prescribe MAT to help ease symptoms and cravings during this process.
- Residential days: Schedules are highly structured to provide a sense of rhythm and normalcy on a daily basis. There are set wake-up times, meal times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and regular group therapy blocks. Clients also attend weekly one-on-one counseling on a set schedule. Clinicals use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help each person get to the root of their substance use issues.
- Fitness and mindfulness: CrossFit sessions occur three times per week, and yoga is held twice a week. These sessions occur at an off-site gym. Every Sunday, clients participate in breathwork groups.
- Optional 12-Step meetings: Staff can take clients to optional off-site meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) for focused peer support.
