Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults looking for a structured PHP with recovery housing options; who don’t require care 24/7 but still need intensive support; seeking trauma-informed treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions; who need an IOP with evening hours; who want a luxury setting that integrates both evidence-based and holistic therapies.

  • Not a fit if: Adults seeking withdrawal management (detox) or in-patient treatment; who are uncomfortable with group therapy sessions.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Pre-admission screening: These take about 20–30 minutes. They may include a review of previous treatment records when available.
  • Biopsychosocial assessment upon admission: Biopsychosocial assessments look at the whole person. They evaluate biological, psychological, and social factors rather than focusing on a single diagnosis or group of symptoms to guide treatment.
  • Collaborative planning: Clients, case managers, and primary therapists collaborate to establish goals and care plans. Goals are revisited weekly in individual therapy sessions and changes are made as clients progress.

Who you will meet with

  • Clinicians: Clinicians specializing in trauma-informed care and substance use treatment are part of the care team and may lead group sessions.
  • Primary therapists: Primary therapists provide one-on-one treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Case manager: A dedicated case manager helps manage care and connects clients with necessary resources.
  • Psychiatric nurse practitioners: Advanced practice nurses can offer medication management and counseling and support services.

Typical schedule

  • Group and individual therapy: Clients attend group therapy during the week and participate in supplemental individual therapy sessions. Exact schedules depend on the level of care.
  • Partial hospitalization program: The PHP program is held six days a week, Monday–Saturday from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. PHP program participants attend daily group therapy and regular individual therapy.
  • Intensive outpatient program: The IOP program is useful for students and working adults. Sessions are held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6–9 p.m.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Recovery housing for PHP clients: Recovery housing can offer additional structure to people participating in the PHP program. Visitors who are approved by the client’s clinician can visit on Sundays from 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Luxury facility that offers comfort and privacy: The facility offers a music room, art therapy room, massage chairs, nutritional services, and a catered lunch.
  • Outdoor recreation: Recreational therapy and outdoor opportunities include equine therapy and nearby nature trails.

Aftercare

  • Career support: Clients can receive career support and employment counseling to help them return to daily life as they transition into lower levels of care.
  • Ongoing care: Clients can step down from PHP to IOP within the same organization. Follow-up sessions, relapse prevention planning, and ongoing support meetings are also a part of aftercare.

Client reviews

Clients frequently describe caring staff, useful treatment, and a welcoming recovery community. Critical feedback focuses mainly on sober living accommodations, access to medical staff, unmet service expectations, and aspects of the group programming.

  • Staff & care experience (99% positive): Most reviewers describe staff, therapists, and counselors as compassionate, knowledgeable, attentive, and respectful. A small number report unprofessionalism or difficulty reaching nurses and doctors. "The staff genuinely cared and made me feel comfortable and supported, especially during a tough time."
  • Treatment quality & outcomes (98% positive): Reviewers often report gaining practical recovery tools, greater self-understanding, and support for substance use and mental health concerns. A few describe repetitive groups, unmet treatment expectations, or needs that the program could not fully address. "The program helped me get back on my feet and gave me tools I can actually use in real life."
  • Facility & environment (98% positive): Many reviewers praise the clean, attractive facility and comfortable treatment environment. A few negative comments center on sober living housing, including concerns that accommodations differed from what was shown or promised.
  • Support & community (100% positive): Reviews mentioning peer relationships, family communication, alumni meetings, or the broader recovery community are consistently favorable. "Thanks for the support you give to families."
  • Access & process (91% positive): Most reviewers describe admissions, insurance verification, assessment, placement, and care coordination as organized and helpful. Critical feedback includes limited access to nurses and doctors for medication changes and reports that some promised services were not provided.

How we research treatment facilities

Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.

Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:

- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.

- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.

- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.

- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.

Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.

How we evaluate treatment facilities

These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
