Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults who are seeking a longer residential treatment program (typically 45–60 days); need treatment for both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; may benefit from onsite medical detox before transitioning into residential care; prefer individualized treatment plans that are reviewed regularly by a multidisciplinary team; value a structured daily schedule with family involvement and recreational amenities; or plan to continue care through intensive outpatient treatment after residential.
Not a fit if: Need a very short residential stay; prefer minimal daily programming or significant free time; do not want family involvement as part of treatment; are unwilling to participate in ongoing psychiatric care and regular treatment plan reviews; or need acute hospital-level psychiatric care rather than residential addiction treatment.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Level of care determination: Before admission, it is determined whether detox is needed, which occurs onsite. Once detox is complete clients transfer into the facility's residential care program.
- Individualized treatment plans: Initial care plans are created after intake and clinical assessments. Each week they are reevaluated by the care team and treatment recommendations are adjusted based on progress, engagement, emotional needs, and participation.
Who you will meet with
- Clinical support team: Psychiatric nurse practitioners work with clients for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and a weekly hour-long psychiatric appointment. Mental health technicians offer daily support throughout the program as well. Nursing staff provide medical support and daily monitoring during withdrawal management.
- Individual and family therapy: Twice a week clients meet with an individual therapist for an hour-long personal session. Counselors and family therapists are also available and work with clients in group settings and family therapy that can take place throughout treatment.
Typical schedule
- Daily treatment schedule: Clients can expect to take part in 6-7 hours of programming per day. This can include individual therapy, family therapy, psychiatric appointments, small group therapy, and larger psychoeducational groups.
- Integrated addiction and mental health care: During treatment, clients experience a dual diagnosis approach. They also undergo continuous psychiatric assessments, a combination of individual and group therapy sessions, and regular clinical review by their care team.
Living experiences and amenities
- Outdoor amenities: The approximately 16-acre campus has many opportunities for outdoor recreation during downtime. Amenities include an indoor swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, basketball and sand volleyball courts, disc golf, cornhole, a game room, musical instruments, and walking trails.
- Living environment: Clients stay in air-conditioned rooms with adjustable thermostats. Housekeeping is provided as well as access to bathroom essentials. Outdoor spaces may be connected to the room when available.
Aftercare
- Discharge planning: Discharge planning begins before clients complete treatment and may include scheduling follow-up appointments with mental health providers, identifying housing or employment resources, connecting clients with community support groups, and developing an individual relapse prevention plan.
- Aftercare and alumni support: Following residential treatment, many clients progress to IOP which lasts for about four months with clients attending three days a week. Additionally, clients can connect to alumni and aftercare programming. This includes weekly support groups, peer mentorship, workshops, and recovery retreats.
