Unique Treatment Plans
When clients first come to the center, trained healthcare staff work with them to create a care plan made to fit their specific needs. Intake involves detailed assessments of medical and treatment history, any co-occurring mental health conditions, and a physical exam. The first appointment usually takes between two and four hours, allowing staff to fully delve into how to best help the client and get them acquainted with the center’s schedules and processes. As clients progress through treatment, clinicians make sure their treatment plans evolve with them.
Daily Dosing and Take-Home Medications
At first, clients visit the clinic daily to receive doses of their prescribed medications. They can select dosing schedules that fit with their work and family responsibilities. Once staff determine that they are ready, clients may be able to take a limited amount of medication home with them so they don’t have to come to the clinic as often. All medications are FDA approved and prescribed by a medical team, which determines the best treatment course for each individual. Staff monitor clients’ progress and can adjust dosage levels as needed.
One-on-One and Group Counseling
Counseling is offered hand-in-hand with MAT to balance physical, emotional, and mental health, encouraging positive progress and lasting recovery. Group sessions are designed to create a supportive environment for clients to share with peers who have been in their shoes. Education about substance use, relapse prevention, and lifestyle changes is also an integral component. Individual counseling allows clients an opportunity for focused attention from the care team, and provides a place to discuss things they may not be comfortable sharing in a group.
Care for Pregnant Clients
During the admissions process, a pregnancy test is given to women as part of their physical exam. If a client is pregnant, staff can coordinate treatment to align with their prenatal medical providers, keeping everyone on the same page for the health and safety of mother and child. If a client does not have an OB/GYN, the care team can help them find one.
