Family-Focused Recovery Housing in a Residential Setting
This long-term residential program is designed for adult women, including pregnant women and mothers with young children, with housing that allows families to stay together during treatment. Residents live in shared homes across a small campus in a residential neighborhood, with apartment-style units available for mothers and children. Daily life features shared kitchens, communal spaces, and structured routines, creating a consistent environment where women can focus on recovery while maintaining their roles as parents.
Structured, Phased Program With Real-World Transition
The program follows a multi-phase structure that gradually increases independence and responsibility. Early stages focus on orientation, routine, and full participation in treatment, while later phases introduce outside engagement, including volunteer work, employment, and stronger community connections. Residents are expected to build support networks, participate in 12-step meetings, and take on peer mentorship roles. This progression prepares women for independent living, supported by step-down transitional housing options that extend recovery beyond the initial program.
Integrated Therapy and Practical Support Services
Treatment includes individual, group, family, and couples counseling, along with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-related counseling, contingency management, relapse prevention, anger management, and 12-step facilitation. The program supports recovery beyond clinical care through case management, peer mentoring, and assistance with housing, employment, and social services. Additional services include domestic violence support, substance use education, tobacco cessation counseling, and health education such as HIV and hepatitis support. The program does not provide withdrawal management onsite and coordinates referrals for detox, and it accepts residents receiving medications for addiction treatment (MAT) that are prescribed externally.
Life Skills, Parenting Support, and Ongoing Community
Daily programming includes life-skills training such as budgeting, cooking, and household management, along with job readiness and employment support to help residents rebuild financial stability. Parenting support is integrated into the residential experience, helping mothers care for their children while in treatment. Residents also participate in structured activities such as cooking classes, art therapy, equine therapy, and sewing, which reinforce routine and confidence. After completing residential care, women can transition into continued housing and participate in a weekly continuing care group that provides ongoing peer support and connection.
