Who is this facility a good fit for?

• Best fit if: Adults who are interested in 24/7 residential care; want to address co-occurring disorders and trauma; who are comfortable with a tech-free, group-based environment; and who have private insurance or can self-pay.
• Not a fit if: Those who need hospital-level stabilization; want flexible outpatient care; use Medicaid or Medicare and cannot self-pay.

What to expect

Typical schedule

• Structured daily routines: Days usually begin with group therapy, and psychoeducation, and clients move on to specialized services in the afternoon, including trauma-informed therapy and sessions at the Meadows Brain Center.
• Technology access: Clients are subject to a 7-day blackout period, where phone use is not allowed during the first week of treatment to help a focused transition into care.

Developing your care plan

• Pre-admissions: Admissions begin with a phone screening and review by the clinical team to help each client determine their needs and if the program is a right fit for them.
• On-site evaluations and planning: Upon arrival, clients receive a psychiatric evaluation, and treatment plans are then developed based on trauma history, substance use, and mental health needs.
• Ongoing assessments: During their stay, clients meet regularly with a psychiatrist and therapist to gauge progress and adjust care plans.

Who you will meet with

• Clinical team: Clients work with psychiatrists, trauma therapists, nurses, and other medical staff.
• Licensed therapists: Weekly one-on-one therapy sessions help provide more focused support during treatment.

Living experiences and amenities

• Quiet, reflective spaces: The desert campus is private and includes spaces designed to support mindfulness, including a labyrinth walking trail and areas for meditation.
• Recreation and wellness focus: Clients have access to a gym, basketball and volleyball courts, a pool, and personal training groups, as well as yoga and acupuncture for whole-body healing.
