Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults who want considerable day-to-day structure; are interested in group therapy being a major component of treatment; have substance use and mental health concerns; want the opportunity for rigorous physical activity such as CrossFit and exposure to 12-Step recovery through optional AA meetings; value 24/7 nursing support; and want to maintain family contact during treatment.
Not a fit if: Adults who are looking for a highly self-directed residential experience; want unlimited technology access; need frequent individual counseling; or need weekday or highly flexible visitation access.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Intake assessment and goals: During intake, clients undergo assessments to help the care team determine the appropriate level of care and establish personal treatment goals.
- Weekly progress reviews: Once a personalized care plan is created, an individual counselor meets with the client weekly to track goals and progress. These weekly meetings also support discharge and aftercare planning.
Who you will meet with
- 24/7 medical support: A 24/7 nursing team is available to provide continuous support during treatment. Medical technicians are also on staff to support clients with day-to-day medical needs.
- Group and individual counseling: Group therapy facilitators lead sessions that focus on substance use and mental health concerns. Clients also meet with an individual therapist or counselor on a weekly basis to assess treatment progress.
Typical schedule
- A structured therapy schedule: The structured schedule normally includes designated wake-up, meal, and group therapy times. Group sessions focused on substance use and mental health concerns take up a large portion of the treatment day and may include CBT, DBT, and breathwork. These sessions are in addition to the weekly visit with the client's individual counselor.
- CrossFit, yoga, and downtime: Clients travel off-site for CrossFit three times per week and yoga twice per week. This may provide a regular break from clinical programming. Scheduled downtime is also built into the day, and evenings may include recreational activities such as movies.
Living experiences and amenities
- Limited technology access: Personal phone and technology access is limited during treatment. Clients have the ability to schedule access for practical responsibilities, which may include paying bills and checking email. This is intended to help clients maintain accountability for their personal responsibilities within the program's structured environment.
- Family visits and phone contact: Weekend visits with family are permitted when advance arrangements have been made. The facility also has a 24/7 phone line that clients can be reached at outside of visitation times.
Aftercare
- Planning for life after treatment: Clients work toward transition planning while still in treatment. During weekly individual counseling, clients address discharge planning with a focus on their next stage of recovery.
