Programming for medical professionals

Physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals can receive specialized care through the facility's dedicated healthcare professionals program. It begins with an in-depth 72-hour diagnostic evaluation that includes medical, psychiatric, psychological, laboratory, family, and addiction assessments. It also includes profession-specific Caduceus groups, work re-entry planning, and compliance reporting to licensing boards if needed.

Abstinence-based recovery with 12-step support

Care focuses on an abstinence-based philosophy and the 12-step model. This includes connecting patients with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) contacts prior to discharge. Family members are also connected to various support groups such as Al-Anon and Families Anonymous to help them during their loved one’s recovery.

Individualized care with a full continuum of services

Clients are continually reassessed and care plans readjusted during treatment using ASAM criteria. Offering a full range of care, including an overnight component for PHP, the facility provides the opportunity for clients to step down in care as needed under one organization.

Beyond traditional therapy

Treatment is conducted by a multidisciplinary team that may include a psychologist, addiction counselor, medical staff, and spiritual counselor. Beyond traditional therapy sessions, clients may be able to participate in lectures, recreational activities, yoga, swimming, and off-site activities that support their physical health. Clients in PHP may also be supported with additional psychiatric assessments, medication management, family counseling, and family education sessions.

Education for clients and families

Education is a pillar for treatment at this facility. Loved ones have the opportunity to take part in continued educational programming, including "Ask the Doc," which are sessions led by a physician that explain addiction, its impact on family members, and provide information about recovery support through 12-step family resources.
