Who is this facility a good fit for?
- Best fit if: Teens and young adults (primarily ages 13–25) seeking age-specific outpatient addiction treatment; families who want to be actively involved in recovery; individuals who value peer support, sober social activities, and ongoing recovery support; or those returning to school, work, or daily life while attending partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient treatment (IOP).
- Not a fit if: Adults outside the program's intended age range; those looking for medications for addiction treatment (MAT) for alcohol or opioid use disorders; or people who need detox or residential treatment.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Admission and assessment: Prior to treatment, clients undergo a free substance use evaluation in addition to in-depth substance use and mental health assessments. These are performed to determine the appropriate levels of care as well as ensuring the age group and program are the right fit.
- Personalized treatment planning: Care plans are personalized and clients get to actively participate in developing their care plan. Goals must be agreed upon between the client and the clinical team and focus on practical recovery behaviors.
Who you will meet with
- Therapy and family support: Individual counselors and group therapists support the client during counseling sessions and facilitated group therapy sessions. Parent support facilitators are also available to help loved ones who are participating in their child's recovery.
- Clinical and medical oversight: Clients may also work with clinical and medical supervisors who review treatment plans and support co-occurring medical or mental health concerns.
Typical schedule
- IOP schedule: Group therapy takes place from Monday to Friday. There’s also individual counseling each week and treatment planning. Tuesday evenings include a required parent support group and a teen and young adult 12-step meeting, with an additional 12-step meeting on Thursday evenings. Friday and Saturday evenings feature sober social activities. These can include movie nights, sports, themed dances, and talent or game shows. There are also bigger outings, like camping trips, tubing, beach trips, and New Year's Eve events.
- Aftercare schedule: After completing IOP, the schedule becomes less intensive but remains structured with weekly individual counseling, bi-weekly aftercare group sessions, two 12-step meetings each week, two sober social activities each week on Friday and Saturday nights. This goes on for about 12 weeks, with continued support available for up to two years after treatment.
Living experiences and amenities
- Recreational space: The facility has a 3,000-square-foot flex space that clients have access to before and after programming. It includes a coffee bar, cornhole, a foosball table, ping-pong, and a basketball area.
Aftercare
- Aftercare planning: Staff begin working with clients and their family before they complete IOP to create a comprehensive aftercare plan. This plan is specific to the client's next stage in recovery. It addresses school, living situations, employment, and family support.
- Long-term recovery support: After completing formal treatment and the 12-week aftercare program, clients still have access to support up to two years at no additional cost. This includes individual counseling, recovery support group access, family support services, and continued social events and recovery community involvement.
