MAT for opioid and alcohol use disorders

When treatment begins, clients meet with a clinician who reviews their history of substance use and medical background. They also discuss client’s goals, challenges, and preferences to make sure care fits their needs. Medication options for opioid and alcohol use disorders include Suboxone and Vivitrol to help ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings and keep clients safe in the early stages of recovery.

Virtual IOP

Clients can attend IOP through telehealth four days per week for 6 weeks. They can choose between morning and evening sessions, allowing them to fit treatment around their personal schedules and needs. The morning session runs 9 a.m.-12 p.m. The evening session is held from 6-9 p.m. Care involves group therapy, one-on-one sessions, and addiction education.

Specialized therapies

Healthcare professionals receiving treatment can attend weekly groups that take work-related experiences and pressures into account. A Music in Recovery group is offered to give clients a way to work through their emotions and express themselves in a creative way. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) groups are designed to help clients manage stress responses and navigate difficult situations. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) groups help clients work through trauma in a safe environment.

Support for long-term recovery

The center offers a Sustained Recovery Program focused on relapse prevention. This includes helping clients identify and learn to respond to their triggers. Skills taught include self-awareness and stress management. Peer recovery coaching is another main aspect of care, providing clients with a mentor who can guide them through shared lived experience. Family classes explore relationship dynamics and brain science to help loved ones better understand addiction and relate to one another.
