Who is this facility a good fit for?

• Best fit if: Adults who want outpatient substance use treatment; can commit to four three-hour IOP sessions each week for six weeks; value medical care, behavioral therapy, and peer recovery coaching in addition to therapy; may benefit from MAT; and are interested in support for their families.

• Not a fit if: Adults who are seeking residential treatment, sober living, or an overnight rehab experience; want in-person evening IOP; and cannot attend 12 scheduled treatment hours per week.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

• Building a personalized care plan: Prior to entering treatment, clients undergo a series of assessments where a medical provider reviews clients' substance use history and discusses treatment goals with them. This information is used to guide the development of a personal care plan.
• IOP assessment and ongoing adjustments: Clients considering IOP must complete an additional assessment to determine eligibility for the six-week program. Care is reevaluated during clients' participation in the program, and goals are adjusted to meet clients' changing needs as they progress in recovery.

Who you will meet with

• Medical and peer support: A medical provider conducts the initial consultation and continues to oversee clients' medical needs. A medical assistant supports medical care, as well as health and history processes. A peer recovery coach is assigned as part of the care team to provide support and guidance.
• Therapy and IOP support: Therapists and counselors lead group therapy. Individual therapy is also available through outpatient services. An IOP coordinator supports clients by managing their schedules and progression through the six weeks of IOP programming.

Typical schedule

• Four days of structured IOP: The six-week IOP meets four days per week for three-hour group sessions, with morning sessions running from 9 a.m.-noon and evening sessions taking place from 6-9 p.m. Both sessions can be attended virtually, though clients can take part in in-person sessions during the morning at a nearby facility within the same network.
• Group therapy with added clinical support: The IOP focuses on group therapy, whereas individual therapy is also available through the facility's broader network. Other services available through the broader network may include MAT, withdrawal management (detox), addiction psychiatry, drug and alcohol testing, and specialty therapies if clients' needs change and they need to step up or down in care levels.
• Family support during recovery: The facility also offers programs for families affected by clients' substance use. This provides a means for clients' support systems to take part in the recovery process as well.

Aftercare

• Sustained recovery support: The Sustained Recovery Program offers support beyond the initial IOP. This can include continued assessment, recovery coaching, peer and social support, identifying early relapse warning signs, adjusting recovery goals, and practicing relapse prevention strategies.
• Continued outpatient care: Additional individual and group therapy is available through the facility's broader network. This may provide options for continued support after clients have completed more intensive programming.
