Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who want a small, quiet residential setting instead of a large campus; need addiction treatment and co-occurring disorder support; interested in one-on-one access to psychiatrists and psychologists; value a structured daily schedule and wellness activities; and can self-pay.
  • Not a fit if: Those who would want to use insurance or who would like a lower-cost option; need on-site detox before residential treatment; want outpatient care or larger treatment setting; and want a 12-step-based approach.

What to expect

Typical schedule

  • Structured weekdays: Daily routines on Mondays through Fridays usually start at 8:30 a.m. with group sessions, individual clinical care, and then more group and one-on-one therapy sessions later in the day.
  • Evenings and downtime: Clients typically participate in yoga, personal training, or a cooking class. Additional downtown is woven into the daily treatment schedule to allow for exercise, hiking, music, and peer connections.

Who you will meet with

  • Psychologists and psychiatrists: Each client is assigned a primary psychologist with whom they meet three times a week for one-on-one therapy. Clients also have the opportunity to schedule daily meetings with two on-site psychiatrists, Monday through Friday.
  • Medical and clinical staff: The team includes nurses and other residential treatment staff who are available from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., as well as a nurse practitioner who addresses any medical concerns.

Developing your care plan

  • Client-involved planning: Treatment plans are designed with input from clients and their primary psychologists.
  • Ongoing assessments: Care teams regularly review clients’ goals to determine progress and make adjustments to treatment when needed.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Private, home-like setting: The program is set in a renovated country bed-and-breakfast, and each client has access to a private bedroom and bathroom.
  • Wellness activities: Activities include yoga, fitness training, and cooking classes, as well as chef-prepared meals, transportation assistance, and a flexible phone/computer policy. Weekend visitation allows for clients to meet with loved ones, usually on-site during the first weekend of treatment, and later visits allowed off-site.
