Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults who need structured residential treatment with on-site withdrawal management (detox); those with co-occurring mental health conditions; want to explore both 12-Step and SMART Recovery, professionals who need technology access for work and educational tasks; LGBTQ+ individuals; have private insurance, TRICARE, Medicaid, or are able to self-pay.
Not a fit if: Those who need acute, hospital-level treatment; looking for outpatient programs; want a completely non-12-Step approach; prefer a self-directed recovery path; have Medicare or are uninsured and unable to self-pay.
What to expect
Typical schedule
- Detox: Nurses provide 24/7 support, monitor clients’ vital signs, and prescribe medications for addiction treatment (MAT) as needed to help ease cravings and symptoms. This phase lasts approximately 7 to 10 days.
- Structured days: Clients review each day’s schedule during a morning meeting. Group sessions are held throughout the day. Mindfulness and creative therapies are also available.
- 12-Step and SMART Recovery: The center offers both 12-Step programming and SMART Recovery, which draws on science-based rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Family support: Family education and coaching are provided to help families learn to set healthy boundaries and improve their communication.
- WorkFlex program: Clients who have professional and educational responsibilities may be eligible for up to 3 hours of daily access to smartphones and laptops.
Developing your care plan
- First-time treatment pathway: Clients new to treatment receive an overview of the program and an introduction to 12-Step groups. A “buddy system” pairs each new client with a peer to help them get adjusted.
- Relapse prevention pathway: Treatment plans for individuals who have been to treatment before focus on developing new coping skills.
- Mental health pathway: Those with co-occurring mental health concerns receive psychiatric support.
- Adapted combination: Pathway groups can be combined depending on individual needs.
Who you will meet with
- Therapists: A primary therapist works with clients one-on-one every day. Therapists also lead daily group sessions.
- Medical staff: Nurses and medical practitioners are available around the clock during withdrawal management and attend to health needs throughout treatment.
- Psychiatrists: Work with clients with co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.
- Case managers: Check in with clients daily and help with practical issues such as Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork.
Living experiences and amenities
- Large scenic campus: Clients stay in one of eight residential cottages on 125 acres of land. The campus has a pond, plenty of outdoor space for recreation, a cafeteria, and a full gym.
- Accommodations: Bedrooms are usually shared with one other person, though private rooms may be available for an extra fee. Rooms have private bathrooms, full-size beds, and flat-screen TVs.
- Phone calls and visitation: Clients can call loved ones during scheduled times around dinner, usually between 4 and 5 p.m. Visitation takes place on weekends and can be coordinated by primary therapists.
Aftercare
- Continuing care arrangements: Case managers can help set up next steps in care. These can include a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and general outpatient sessions. Staff also facilitate job readiness training and life skills education.
- Alumni program: Graduates of Recovery Centers of America programs have access to an alumni network that hosts sober social evenings and recovery meetings. Some activities may be open to former clients’ loved ones.

Quality and Trust
Trust Score
A simple A–E grade that offers a quick view of how much confidence you might place in a facility. It’s not a guarantee of quality or outcomes, but a data-informed tool to help guide your search. More on our methodology.
The Joint Commission
The Joint Commission is one of the most trusted names in healthcare. If a rehab center has this accreditation, it means they meet strong national standards for safety, treatment quality, and staff training.
Learn moreCommission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities
CARF reviews rehab programs to make sure they provide respectful, effective, and personalized care. For addiction treatment, CARF uses standards developed with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), so this accreditation shows the program follows trusted, evidence-based guidelines for treating substance use.
Learn moreSAMHSA-certified Opioid Treatment Program
This is a federal certification for programs that offer medication like methadone or buprenorphine to treat opioid addiction. It means the center is legally approved to provide this care, follows strict safety rules, and combines medication with counseling to support long-term recovery.

View all facilities in FloridaHow we research treatment facilities
Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.
Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:
- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.
- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.
- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.
- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.
Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.
How we evaluate treatment facilities
These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

We cannot guarantee the quality of treatment at any facility. We cannot independently confirm the accuracy of every data point, and some information may become outdated or change over time. A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
