Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults looking for substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment without an inpatient stay; need to balance day-to-day responsibilities with recovery; want clinical therapy and 12-Step integration; have private insurance, TRICARE, or are looking to self-pay.
Not a fit if: Need acute, hospital-level care, medical detox, or 24/7 residential treatment; prefer a self-directed recovery approach; not willing to participate in clinical therapy; are uninsured and unable to self-pay.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Care coordination: For clients that are coming to South Meadows Recovery from another treatment center, medical records are coordinated by the clinical team.
- Clinical assessments: Within the first three treatment sessions, a clinician takes a detailed intake assessment. The results are used to guide the course of care.
- Adapted treatment: A personalized treatment plan is made to fit each client’s needs and goals. This plan is used during one-on-one counseling sessions and can be adjusted as clients progress.
Who you will meet with
- Therapists and counselors: A primary counselor meets one-on-one with clients every week. Therapists and counselors also lead frequent group sessions.
- Psychiatrists: Clients with co-occurring mental health needs are given a psychiatric evaluation through telehealth within the first 48 hours of starting treatment.
- Outside care providers: Clinicians can coordinate with local psychiatrists and other providers to make sure clients have ongoing care after they finish the program.
Typical schedule
- PHP: The PHP program runs Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Clients return home or to sober living after treatment is complete for the day. This stage usually lasts about one month.
- IOP: Clients have the option to attend IOP either during the day from 12-3 p.m. or in the evening from 6-9 p.m. Treatment takes place three days per week. The IOP program usually runs for two to three months.
- Structured recovery work: Care consists of approaches including small-group counseling sessions, individual therapy, psychiatric check-ins, life skills workshops, relapse prevention, and mindfulness.
Aftercare
- Step-down care: Clients can move from PHP right into IOP when they are ready. They can then continue care through regular outpatient counseling sessions. Sober living arrangements are available through the center.
- Referrals: Staff can connect clients to outside care professionals as needed for long-term support.
