GRAND Mental Health Addiction Recovery Center
Overview
Large non-profit 200-bed facility offering a full continuum of care on one campus, from withdrawal management (detox) to sober living. The 24/7 Urgent Recovery Center offers immediate admissions for crisis management and detox. This window for immediate access can be crucial for someone who is ready for treatment and is designed to remove barriers to admission. From there, clients can transition to residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intense outpatient program (IOP), recovery housing at Bryce House, and continuing relapse prevention support. Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions is integrated into treatment. This facility also offers medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and has a dedicated methamphetamine treatment program. Medicare, managed Medicaid, and commercial insurance are accepted, and they offer a sliding pay scale based on Federal Poverty Guidelines for household income and family size for those who do not have insurance.

Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults seeking multiple levels of care from inpatient to sober living, without changing providers; entering treatment in crisis and need same day, 24/7 access for admission; needing support for co-occurring mental health conditions; seeking a program specifically for recovering from methamphetamine use; who value recovery support from peers with lived experience.
Not a fit if: Adults seeking a luxury experience; looking for a small residential program; preferring treatment with highly specialized experiential therapies; needing access to cell phones and devices throughout treatment.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Designed for those in crises: The facility uses a "ready when you're ready" approach and operates a 24/7 Substance Abuse Urgent Recovery Center. Walk-in admissions are available at any time, and stabilization begins immediately.
- Medical evaluations: A medical evaluation is used to determine the appropriate level of care. Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions is also integrated into treatment plans as needed.
- Various levels of care: Treatment adapts with client needs, through detox to residential treatment, then into outpatient programs and sober living at Bryce House. There is no set schedule; clients transition between levels of care to meet their needs as recovery progresses.
Who you will meet with
- Addiction medicine physician: A SAMHSA-certified addiction medicine physician oversees the detoxification process.
- Registered nurses: Nurses monitor clients and offer around-the-clock support during detox.
- Counseling staff: Licensed counselors lead individual, group, and educational therapy sessions. Each client is also paired with a primary counselor who provides tailored support.
- Medical team: Board-certified psychiatrists and licensed physicians manage MAT.
- Peer recovery specialists: Peer recovery specialists with lived experience offer insight and support.
Typical schedule
- Morning: Schedules vary depending on the level of care. Typically, clients start the day with clinical programming and individual or group therapy sessions.
- Throughout the day: Groups and activities throughout the day may focus on a broad range of recovery-focused interventions: education sessions, groups focused on skill-building or coping skills, or relapse prevention. Clients may also engage in programming focused on stress management, relationship-building, anger management, self-esteem development, or grief recovery.
- Evening: In the evening, clients continue to participate in recovery-focused activities or those focused on peer support.
Living experiences and amenities
- Safe, secure residential facility: The 200-bed residential building offers air conditioned rooms, a meditation/yoga room, a relaxation lounge, and shared community spaces.
- Outdoor activities: Clients can explore the outdoors on the campus’ walking trails and relax in the courtyard, gardens, and landscaped grounds.
- Structured rules: Clients do not have access to cell phone or Wi-Fi enabled electronics during treatment. There are rules regarding personal belongings, and the campus is a tobacco-free and vape-free environment.
Aftercare
- A full continuum of care: After detox and inpatient treatment, clients can transition into lower levels of care, including PHP and IOP.
- Transition to sober living: Clients can transfer to sober living in Bryce House, an OKARR-certified recovery residence that’s part of the GRAND Mental Health organization.
- Ongoing connections: Relapse prevention services, including virtual 24/7 relapse prevention support, are available for clients after transitioning back to independent living. Peer recovery support and community support groups are also available.
