Long-term residential care for boys ages 12–18 facing trauma, behavioral issues, and digital or sexual addictions. The therapeutic boarding school employs a relationship-based treatment model and combines academics, daily therapy, and family involvement. Teens also participate in outdoor activities, equine therapy, and community service to build life skills, responsibility, and emotional regulation.

What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Admissions assessment: Staff collect information about clients’ psychological history, behavioral patterns, academic needs, and family goals.
- First week: Teens meet with a licensed clinician to develop an individualized plan, including an academic plan.
- Treatment review: The full care team meets weekly to discuss client care plans and adjust them as needed based on behavior, progress, and therapy response.
Who you will meet with
- Therapists: A primary therapist leads individual and family therapy sessions, and multiple other therapists run groups.
- Parent liaisons: Serve as the main communication bridge with family members.
- Medical providers: Clients meet with medical staff weekly for medication management as appropriate.
- Academic staff: Teachers lead clients in daily educational programming.
- Residential staff: Available to supervise clients 24/7.
- Equine therapists: Lead horse-based therapy sessions.
Typical schedule
- Mornings: Clients are responsible for tasks such as making beds and doing laundry, and are served breakfast.
- Academic blocks: From about 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., clients participate in teacher-led classes, working toward school credits, graduation, or accelerated learning.
- Afternoons and evenings: Aside from school hours, daytime programming includes individual and group therapy, life skills development, and structured downtime.
Living experiences and amenities
- On-campus spaces: Outside of therapy and academic hours, clients have access to a fitness center, basketball courts, and games. They are also involved in gardening and farming.
- Off-site activities: Teens participate in equine and other animal-assisted therapy, as well as hiking, rock climbing, rafting, fishing, and community service.
- Family involvement: Family calls typically occur on a weekly basis, and teens are encouraged to communicate with their loved ones daily by email. Biweekly family therapy sessions and quarterly parent weekends are part of the program.
Aftercare
- Transition planning: Before treatment is complete, staff make plans to help teens reintegrate to their home environment, coordinate with outpatient providers for next steps, and provide family education.
- Continued support: The program provides family tools and resources, as well as ongoing communication guidance.
