Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults needing time away from their everyday environment to focus on recovery; experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; benefiting from scheduled activities and group participation; seeking prompt admission to a program.
  • Not a fit if: Adults wanting to remain in regular contact with loved ones or employers; requiring access to personal electronics; needing ongoing medical intervention; seeking private or luxury amenities; seeking a program with a primary emphasis on mental health without substance use treatment.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Screening and admission: People can walk in for a residential treatment screening at any time, day or night. Same-day admission may be available for those who meet the admission criteria. Positive drug screens do not automatically disqualify someone from the program.
  • Treatment planning: Each client works with an assigned counselor who oversees treatment planning. The facility uses IDDT to address substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Specific services that are available include mental health assessments, counseling, and medication management. Recommendations may include outpatient services or a different level of care.

Who you will meet with

  • Assigned counselor: Assigned counselors develop treatment plans, provide one-on-one counseling, and make recommendations for continuing care.
  • Group counselors and peers: These clinicians lead group counseling and educational activities.
  • Mental health professionals: Provide mental health assessments and oversee medication management.
  • Medical professionals: Provide medical monitoring and support during detox.

Typical schedule

  • Structured daily routine: Residential treatment follows a structured daily schedule. Clients spend most of their time outside of their rooms. After breakfast and morning downtime, clients attend individual counseling, group therapy, and educational classes throughout the day.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Dorm-style accommodations: Clients share rooms and have access to amenities including washing machines and dryers. Laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, deodorant, razors, and lotion are also available.
  • Personal items: Cell phones, tablets, radios, and cameras are not permitted. Clients are not also allowed tobacco products or vapes.
  • Communication restrictions: Clients can make 2 phone calls a week. No in-person visitation is permitted, but family therapy sessions may be available.

Aftercare

  • Counselor-led discharge planning: The client's assigned counselor evaluates their needs and recommends the next appropriate level of care. In some cases, clients can transition to outpatient treatment and other services in the broader Anuvia organization.
  • Other services: The center also offers peer support, housing services, and assistance accessing social services.

Pre-admissions experience

We conducted a series of pre-admissions calls, the most recent on October 9, 2026, to evaluate response time, transparency, and patient experience.

We spoke with a representative at Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center and the interaction felt scripted and transactional. The representative provided clear information about 24/7 walk-in assessments but did not provide many details on clinical programming. They provided precise information about self-pay rates but were not as forthcoming with information about treatment planning and on-site medical staff.

Client reviews

A simple A–E grade that offers a quick view of how much confidence you might place in a facility. It’s not a guarantee of quality or outcomes, but a data-informed tool to help guide your search. More on our methodology.

Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities

CARF reviews rehab programs to make sure they provide respectful, effective, and personalized care. For addiction treatment, CARF uses standards developed with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), so this accreditation shows the program follows trusted, evidence-based guidelines for treating substance use.

How we research treatment facilities

Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.

Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:

- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.

- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.

- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.

- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.

Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.

How we evaluate treatment facilities

These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.
