Small mental health-focused residential care with treatment for co-occurring substance use
Corner Canyon is a 15-bed residential treatment center for adults with mental health conditions, with or without co-occurring addictions. It's a small-scale, home-like environment that is open to all genders. LGBTQ+ clients can live with others of their chosen gender identity. Treatment addresses complex concerns, like trauma and personality disorders, with access to individual, group, and family therapy and the support of a peer community.
Assessment-driven care
Thorough assessments help guide treatment for complex conditions. These may include psychiatric, psychological, and health evaluations. Blood work, genetic testing, and gut health testing may be included. This in-depth evaluation helps clinicians address the needs of clients with complex or difficult-to-treat symptoms.
Brain-based and integrative treatment options
Treatment approaches vary. Familiar evidence-based options, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), are used alongside less commonly offered approaches; for example, neurofeedback, psychiatric nutrition, and massage as well as a six-week ketamine-assisted psychotherapy program followed by one-on-one therapy to process the experience.
A home-like setting in the Wasatch Mountains with a focus on wellness
Accommodations include chef-prepared healthy meals, outdoor space, and panoramic views of the Wasatch Mountains. The program emphasizes wellness activities that help clients develop interests, relationships, and routines. Some of these include yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Music and equine therapy are also offered.
Integrated step-down care
Treatment extends beyond residential care with a flexible PHP and IOP. Morning and mid-morning start times are available for the PHP, while the IOP offers day and evening options. These programs give clients a way to maintain clinical support within the same facility while gradually returning to independent living and everyday responsibilities.
