Hospital-based treatment for acute mental illness and substance use
This psychiatric hospital provides 24-hour inpatient care for adults with severe mental health symptoms alongside withdrawal management and treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The goal is to stabilize clients so they can return home or transition to a less intensive program. Treatment teams have experience caring for people with a wide range of challenges, including suicidal or homicidal thoughts, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related concerns, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, social workers, and mental health technicians, with care plans based on assessments and patient history, as well as input from clients, families, and any outside referrers.
A highly structured inpatient setting with safety restrictions
The inpatient program has detailed rules with restrictions intended to maintain client safety. Clients can bring only three changes of casual clothing, basic travel-sized toiletries, sleepwear, ankle socks, slip-on shoes without laces or metal, and up to $5 in cash. Cell phones and electronics are prohibited, and there are restrictions on the personal belongings clients can bring with them.
Multiple approaches for teens to receive care
Teens ages 12 to 17 have access to various levels of care, including acute inpatient treatment, outpatient care, and intensive outpatient treatment. Inpatient treatment focuses on stabilizing immediate psychiatric concerns and helping teens build coping skills so they can safely return home. A separate 16-bed residential program for girls ages 12 to 17 includes therapy alongside academic support, with a special education-certified teacher providing one-on-one instruction. There’s also an IOP for teens with 4 to 6 weeks of in-person or virtual programming on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
Military-specific programs
The Patriot Support Program is for active-duty members from all military branches, veterans, and military family members, including those with complex mental health needs. Clients in this program work with a dedicated military liaison. Veterans on staff coordinate with military treatment facilities and commands.
A clear step-down model with flexible admissions
The facility offers various levels of treatment, allowing adults to move between levels of care as needed. In addition to inpatient treatment, the facility offers an adult partial hospitalization program (PHP) as well as multiple levels of care for adolescents. The admissions department is available 24/7, and assessments can typically be scheduled from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Appointments may be considered outside those hours on a case-by-case basis, and admissions may be available at any hour with advance notice.

View all facilities in FloridaHow we research treatment facilities
Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.
Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:
- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.
- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.
- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.
- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.
Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.
How we evaluate treatment facilities
These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

We cannot guarantee the quality of treatment at any facility. We cannot independently confirm the accuracy of every data point, and some information may become outdated or change over time. A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
